| 2500bc-14/1300bc | A penannular ring ditch, entrance to the W, with a slightly off centre Pit 7, 0.6m in diameter, filled with black-brown fine soil, and containing a great deal of charcoal and a small quantity of burnt bone, possibly a cremation deposit. The dating is speculative, based on Bronze Age sherds high in the fill of Sector 2. (Compare for penannular structure Litton Cheney 3, Site 714). |
