| 3500bc - 2500bc | A pit burial. At the top of a black layer, beneath 1.2-1.5m of alluvium, was a fine Neolithic antler comb close to a human skull cap and a broken femur. Possibly associated part of an occipital bone and some Windmill Hill style potsherds were found in the debris beneath the mechanical screening plant of the gravel pit. |
