| 2500bc-14/1300bc | A barrow with a mound of soil 'very different...from that common to the neighbourhood' and notably free from flint which was common. It covered a cremation accompanied by a bronze dagger of two rivets, a bronze chisel, and a broken grooved ragstone which had been burnt. This last was an arrow shaft smoother. A few flint flakes were in the mound. The cremation had been placed centrally on the old ground surface, and a trench dug round them. |
