| 14/1300bc-8/700bc | A bowl barrow with a base formed by a slightly concave layer of sand and gravel overlaid with a thin seam of loam and sand. Above this was a sand layer c1.2m thick covered then with loam. A small 4-knobbed bucket urn was the sole deposit, set on the south east side between the centre and the mound edge, on a large flat Purbeck slab 0.3m square, mouth upwards, and containing burnt bone and ashes. |
