| 2500bc-14/1300bc | A stone cairn, without a kerb. There was a small roughly oval central pit containing blackened soil, some stones and 2 very small fragments of cremated bone. Contemporary with the building of the mound was the deposition of a crude barrel shaped pot of (Late?) Bronze Age fabric buried face downwards in the cairn, 1.8m south of the centre. There was some soil and a few limestone pieces in the pot, which was not of any recognisable type. |
