| 3500bc - 2500bc | A long cairn oriented SE, with scanty human skeletal material. In chamber 1 was human skeletal material of 2 individuals. In chamber 2 was human skeletal material of one person. Chambers 3 and 4 contained no human skeletal material. Abingdon ware was found. There were fragments of a human skull from one of the timber bedding trenches overlain by the northern horn of the cairn. RC: charcoal in Neolithic pit CAR-113 3100 +/- 75, charcoal in pits on south side of cairn CAR-116 2640 +/- 75, and CAR-114 2440 +/- 70 [both contemporary with use of vessels] |
