| 2500bc-14/1300bc | A banked bowl barrow with a central funeral pyre with ashes, charcoal and some cremated bone still surviving. A small pit in the centre was dug through the pyre into the underlying chalk. An adult cremation was placed in it with a pin. The mound was a turf core set on the old turf surface, capped with chalk from the ditch. |
