| 14/1300bc-8/700bc | An isolated inhumation in a pit cut 1.2m into the chalk, in which was placed the extended burial of a probable female c30, oriented EW, and with skull morphology interpreted as belonging to a post-Neolithic but pre-Iron Age person. Bone preservation also suggested a date very much earlier than comparable Saxon burials. |
