"Craig Rhiwarth is a traditional haunt of fairies and this may account for the difficulties and uncertainties that were experienced in interpreting the evidence" (Sayce 1938, 104) ; interpreted as natural as no finds. Could also be cairns. One drawn by Sayce comparable in plan to eg Moel y Gerddi. Charcoal mentioned so radiocarbon could be carried out. Note in CPAT archives about work done by Graeme Guilbert here, Peter Crew has archive, unpub. Plans in SMR of 1978 - 1980 survey work with detailed plans of huts. |
