| Description | Roman copper alloy statue fragment, 55mm long and 35mm wide. The object is in good condition with slight damage at one end and has a good shiny green patina. It consists of the left arm of a male statue which has very toned muscles and his fingers closed as though holding something round. The edges of the fingers are damaged with the forefinger missing. The fragment s possibly part of a statue of an emperor or Mercury? (PAS) |
