Description | A summarily treated, but alert and lively creature, was certainly votive, having been discovered in the extramural Temple IV (Toynbee). No great detail on body or face. Legs spindly. Forelegs short and curved towards rear. Rear legs together. Small pointy ears high on neck, moderately sized curving antlers on top of head. Piece will not stand on its own. Temple dedicated to Silvanus. |
