Description | The rider wears a simple crested helmet, pushed back to reveal abundant curly hair, and a short pleated tunic. He wears a belt around his waist: at the back, small decorative discs on the belt are clearly indicated in relief. The raised arm is clothed in a ribbed or pleated sleeve in the same grooved technique as the skirt. The damaged left arm is not clearly finished in the same way. The surviving leg, the right one, is very sketchily modelled, but appears to be wearing a greave (Johns p.448). |
