| Description | The fragment consists of the front part of the head of the animal. It measures 39.5mm long by 22.3mm wide and is hollow. The animal has a narrow snout of sub-circular section which is squared off at the end. The width increases at the face and there is a small eye visible on each side. On the left hand side of the animal (looking at it straight on) is a crest with roughly depicted hair. The surface of the rest of the animal is also rough in order to give the impression of hair. There is no evidence of a casting join. The object is badly worn and corroded (PAS). |
