Description | Depicts a boar standing facing forward. The object has been damaged by post-depositional processes. There is a large hole measuring 15.2mm long by 10.6mm high, situated above the left back leg. There is also a small hole above the left front leg. Only the upper half of the right back leg survives. The piece is hollow and has been cast in two pieces. A join can be seen running along the length of the animal. The animal only has one tusk, this being on its left hand side. There is no evidence to suggest that there was ever a tusk on the right hand side (PAS). |
